Visiting Joker Marchant Stadium: What to Bring, Parking, & Recommendations

So you want to visit a Tigers spring training game? Here’s what you can and can’t bring into the park, information about parking and a general feedback about the park itself.

You can bring: baseball gloves, cameras (video is allowed), and small umbrellas.

You can NOT bring: coolers, food, folding chairs, glass bottles and large umbrellas.

Remember, it’s sunny Florida, so bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses because you don’t want to have to buy those at the park.  Also, if you’re planning on sitting in the Berm area (the grassy area behind left field) bring a blanket to sit on!

There is plenty of parking available, however the parking lot can be a zoo to get out of after the game, although the parking attendees really helped the process speed along.  Joker Marchant Stadium recommends you buy your parking pass ahead of time if you purchase your tickets early.  More information on parking and driving directions to the stadium can be found, here.

As far as a stadium goes, I really enjoyed Joker Marchant.  It’s a great spring training field and has plenty of seating and some really fun concessions.  The BBQ concession stand was a hit with my dad and my mom and I really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake that the vendors brought around to sell.
